This video details the A, B, C, and Bronze badges awareded in the USA by the Soaring Society of America (SSA) as well as the internationally recognized Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diplome badge awards.

The A, B, C, and Bronze badges begin with the student pilot's first solo flight and award increasing ability to remain aloft, climb in lift, and prepare for cross-country flight. Activities include accuracy landings, and knowledge of thermal, ridge, and wave techniques, glider assembly & disassembly, the hazards of cross country flying such as off-field landings, and completion of the Bronze Badge test on the soaring safety foundation's website: http://soaringsafety.org
